I'm Ryan Morneau, the #1 collegiate singles player in the country, with a 5.9 DUPR in singles and 5.7 in doubles. Pickleball Breakdowns is where I turn what I've learned competing at the highest collegiate level into instruction anyone can use.

Most instruction tells you what to do, not why. My passion is closing that gap: taking the knowledge that wins at the top and handing it to the average player.

Where I Fell in Love with Pickleball

I started playing in 2022, my first year at JMU, and the sport and I basically grew up together. My freshman year, collegiate nationals had 12 teams. Now it's over 128. Somewhere in between, pickleball went from a thing I tried to the center of my college life.

It's where I found my best friends, my roommates, and a passion for pickleball as a team sport, a side of the game most people never get to see. It's been the most fun and pivotal part of my life.
